Insurance Changes You Can Make Today

You don’t have to be an expert to recognize that we work, live and play very differently today than we did pre-COVID19.  There are very real changes to our insurance needs, too.  An expert, a professional insurance advisor, can help guide you through these changes, providing peace of mind with smart insurance coverage that follows your wants and needs.

We are hearing these FAQs from our clients.  Even if you haven’t pondered the questions yet, you may find the answers helpful.  Your next steps after reading the FAQ?  Give us a call and the opportunity to help.

    • Are companies offering coronavirus discounts on auto insurance?  Yes, many insurance companies have recognized that people are currently driving less.  Please click here for discount information from many of the companies we represent.

    • What if I’m struggling with bills?  Our goal is to help you avoid a lapse in insurance, and all of our companies now offer flexible bill payment options during this time of uncertainty and financial hardship. We are happy to help talk with your insurance carrier on your behalf.

    • Will my policy cancel?  By working with clients and insurance companies daily, we are helping keep coverage in force.  Solutions may range from the waiver of late fees or penalties to a temporary reprieve on cancellations for non-payment.  Before you get overwhelmed, let us help you navigate the current environment.

    • My car was in an accident and I can’t get it repaired.  Now what?  In today’s world, companies recognize that even simple repairs may take weeks.  They are addressing this by offering extended rentals, extended storage fee payment, etc.  Our experience is that insurance companies have been very accommodating during this unique time.

    • I just opened a claim for damage to my home, and it’s taking a long time just to find a contractor, let alone fix it.  How long do I have?  This may actually be two questions, and the answer to both is “we can help.”  Companies are making accommodations and being flexible, including providing Additional Living Expenses as necessary if you are displaced due to a claim.

    • I’m not commuting to work and we barely use our cars.  How can I save on auto insurance?  This is a great time to revisit your auto policy, including your deductibles and liability limits.  In addition to the discounts many companies are automatically applying in April and May, low mileage discounts may apply.  With kids unexpectedly home from college, Good Student discounts may replace Student Away at School savings.

    • Now that I’m working from home, do I have to worry about cyber security?  Yes!  Cyber criminals are taking advantage of this new reality, and your insurance policy may protect you.
